What is in the name
This tent is on Amazon under the name given in the title above. But on the site of the brand they use the name 6 Person Blackout Tent With Porch. The meaning of this will become clear in the text below.
I would start with the word Instant in the name, as this describes its very important feature. The frame is pre-attached to the inner tent, so this is all one piece.
The picture below shows that it includes four leg poles and the same number of roof pole. The structure is fully freestanding and very stable, and you realize this is a very typical cabin type tent with straight and steep walls.
The legs are with buttons (see the picture below) which you press to extend its telescopic poles so the inner tent is ready in a minute or so. This is why I have included it in my list of instant tents.
With the peak height of 77 inches (196 cm), this tent offers a stand-up height for most of users.
Full coverage fly, awning, and windows
This tent comes with a full coverage fly, so this is already quite remarkable for a cabin type tent, and this makes it a true two-layer tent. But attaching the fly on such a tall tent requires some work, bear this in mind.
The fly goes all the way to the ground, and it even allows for an awning configuration shown in the picture. In this setup you have a place to sit in the shade in front of the tent, and you can use it for cooking as well.
There are around three square meters of covered area under the awning flap. In their description they write about porch, but this is actually misinterpretation of the mentioned awning.
So there is no porch here, but the fly creates a narrow vestibule as you realize from the picture above, so you can keep at least your boots and shoes here.
There is only one door, but it is tall and completely enough fort the tent of this size and shape. Note that there are windows on the remaining three sides, so you have openings everywhere around.
This is quite a luxury for a full coverage fly tent. In view of all these details, I have included it in my list of cabin tents with full fly.
Dark rest feature
The mentioned fly is with a coating on its underside and this creates a dark inner when the door and windows are closed. They claim that this blocks up to 90% of daylight.
Such a feature is very convenient to have if you camp with small kids who need to sleep during the day. It is useful in general because you can sleep longer in the morning, and you are safe from the usual glare during the day.
So I have very good reasons to include this tent in my list of dark rest tents.
Materials
The frame: They use fiberglass, and the poles are thick and strong. Note that there are also two separate poles included in the package to support the awning as in the pictures.
The fabric: It appears that the fly is a polyester with a 1500 mm waterproof rating. This should be enough in view of the full coverage. But I have seen some users complaining about leaking.
It is not clear what the floor is made of, but it is thin and some people were commenting on that.
They write that the fly is with a SPF50 factor due to its reflective material. The tent is made of a flame retardant fabric that meets the CPI 84 flame retardant standard.
Note also that you have a cable port, shown in the picture below, and a few wall pockets to keep small items off ground. These are very useful features.
Ventilation
When you see the tent without the fly, you realize that the canopy is mainly mesh, so vapor can escape in all directions. Fly windows will help to ventilate the tent and allow vapor to get out.
This all looks good, but when it rains you have to keep the windows and the door fully closed. In such intervals you need roof vents that are missing here. It is a pity that they did not think more about such details.
Who is it for
Regarding the area, the tent is officially for 6 people and as usual this means you should be able to put 6 sleeping pads on the floor. But when you see the dimensions, this does not look realistic.
There is 87.7 ft² (8.1 m²) of the floored area, and you would have 14.6 ft² (1.35 m²) per person. It is best to downgrade the number of users to up to four maximum.
Regarding seasons & climate, I have seen their statement about 4-season use. This may be so but it is best to test the tent before you go anywhere. There are complaints about leaking and frame functioning.
But assuming that all specifications are as stated by the brand, this tent can be used as a three season shelter.
Regarding the weight, the tent is a bit on the heavy side with its 22.3 lb (10.1 kg). But such a weight is completely normal for an instant setup tent, and this in particular in view of its massive fly and height.
The weight is not a big deal in any case, you are supposed to use it close to your car, and not to carry anywhere.
The packed size is not so great, below you can see its carry bag and the numbers are in the specifications. Clearly, it is quite long, but this is typical for instant tents.
Regarding the price, I would say it is a bit steep, but the tent looks great and it may be worth the investment.

Final thoughts, rating, pros & cons
In summary, the EVER ADVANCED 6 Person Blackout Instant Cabin Tent with Rainfly provides a combination of convenience, comfort, and unique features that make it a strong contender for group camping trips.
Its instant setup design, complete with pre-attached telescopic poles, ensures quick and hassle-free assembly, while the full coverage rainfly offers robust protection against the elements.
The inclusion of multiple windows and a tall door enhances ventilation and accessibility, adding to the tent’s functionality. However, the absence of additional ventilation features like roof or floor vents may pose challenges in wet weather conditions when the rainfly must remain closed.
While marketed as a six-person tent, its floor area is better suited for four individuals for a more comfortable experience.
The dark rest feature, blocking up to 90% of sunlight, is a standout benefit for those who value uninterrupted sleep during daylight hours.
Although the tent is slightly bulky when packed and comes at a higher price point, its ease of use, spaciousness, and innovative features justify the investment for car campers seeking reliable shelter.
This tent strikes a balance between user-friendly design and essential functionality, making it a solid choice for various outdoor adventures.
