Teepee (or tipi) tents presented here are in fact modern versions of traditional teepees. So these are usually floored tents, most of the time single-pole type, and this is what makes them similar to bell-shaped tents.

The bell tents have a lower area with a vertical wall, they are also supported by one pole, and they are not freestanding.
