Overview
This TIMBER RIDGE 8 Person Camping Tent with Large Porch is a very typical tunnel type tent with an inner canopy and an almost full-coverage fly. The tent is quite tall with its 78 inches (198 cm) peak height. The picture below shows its most important dimensions.
The inner floored area is divided into two rooms with a removable divider, and you also have a large front porch mentioned in its official name. This front space is without floor and it is partly protected from the rain, so you can use it for sitting and also for cooking.
Note that there is only one door here, it is deep under the porch so it is fully protected. For such a large tent, one door is not the most optimal design, the rear room has no separate door.
Materials
The poles & stakes: You have fiberglass used for poles, and they include three loops typical for a tunnel tent, plus one which is Y-shaped on both ends. There are 20 simple steel stakes in the package.
The fabric: This is all moderately durable 66D polyester. The official waterproof rating is 2000 mm and all seams are fully taped. The canopy is a dense mesh, but they do not provide additional information about it.
There are four sets of double-pouches inside, and you also have a cable port, see the pictures below.
Ventilation
They write about excellent ventilation and use the picture below to shows this. Indeed, the inner canopy is huge, this is all mesh. But this is just one out of many possible ventilation features as I discussed in my another post.
The side view with fly below shows that the fly is almost full-coverage type. Only the rear area is not covered. Now, there are no fly vents here, and the rear area would also be much better with a low vent. So, in my view they have missed adding some details here.
Who is it for
Regarding the area, you have 112 ft² (10.4 m²) of the inner floored space, and they claim this is for 8 people. The picture below shows how they think you can use this space. You would have 14 ft² (1.3 m²) per person, so this is not a lot.
The porch adds 40 ft² (3.7 m²) of the space which is partly protected for your gear. So is it doable for 8 people? Yes if this is about some festival or concert, but in my view, for camping it is best to downgrade the number of users by half.
Regarding seasons & climate, this is a summer camping tent, or for two seasons maximum. With so much mesh you would not feel great in a cold climate.
The waterproof rating is more than enough for most situations, and they also claim that the tent is designed to withstand winds of up to 35 mph. I am not sure that I would want to experience such winds in this tent.
Regarding the weight, in view of its overall size, with 22.5 lb (10.2 kg) this tent can be described as lightweight.
The packed size is even better, see the numbers below. So this is indeed a compact tent, small enough when packed to be transported even on a bicycle.
Regarding the price, it is simply excellent, there is nothing else one can say.

Final thoughts, rating, pros & cons
In summary, this TIMBER RIDGE 8 Person Camping Tent with Large Porch looks good, ventilation could be better, but all in all this is indeed a great value for the money. It is light and compact, and easy to use. Note that it is tall, so when you put the fly on, it is best to have somebody to help you.
