Overview
This Ozark Trail 14 x 8 8-Person Instant Cabin Tent with Full Rainfly is a very typical cabin-type tent with steep and straight walls, and plenty of volume inside. With a peak height of 78 inches (198 cm), it offers a stand-up height for most of users.
Note that there are windows everywhere around, 6 in total. All of them are with mesh and with zippered panels for privacy and protection.
The picture below shows it without the fly so you can better understand its structure and shape. All this is one piece, and this means that the frame is pre-attached to the inner tent.

With such a design, the tent is very easy to use. You simply unpack it and unfold, and then extend its telescopic poles one by one as shown in the pictures below. So this is an instant setup at its best. One person can easily do the job in just a few minutes.

But this tent comes with a full-coverage fly and the picture below shows how it looks when the fly is on and fully closed. Note that there is a small vestibule supported with an extra pole added together with the fly.

The fly is designed with flaps that allow you to roll them up and to have views through the windows on the inner tent. So the comfort of a typical cabin tent is not compromised.
Hinged door
The door is with a frame created with several fiberglass poles shown in the pictures below. There are handles on both inner and outer side, in addition to the usual zipper.
This is a great and rare detail, you do not have to wrestle with zippers all the time. I have included the tent in my list of tents with hinged doors.
Two rooms
There is a divider inside so this allows you to create two separate rooms. The pictures show how this looks, convenient if you use the tent with kids.
Materials
The poles: You have a strong steel frame here with 6 steel leg poles plus a number of roof poles of the same type connected with elbow elements. A few extra fiberglass poles are used for the hinged door and the vestibule support.
The fabric: They do not provide details regarding the fabric and this is disappointing. No doubt this is a polyester and the ceiling of the inner tent is mesh. But they give waterproof rating, and this is 1200 mm, more than enough for typical camping situations.
The floor is a catenary cut type, so I would not describe it as the best option.
Other details
The tent comes with a cable port shown in the picture below.
There are wall pouches for small items. In view of such massive walls, it is a pity they did not add them more.
Ventilation
You have already seen about big mesh windows, plus the huge ceiling which is all mesh. This allows for air circulation in all directions.
In intervals with rain, you would close the flaps on the fly, and in such situations rely on floor vents, one is shown in the picture above.
They claim that vent fits most portable A/C units, but this does not look so to me, this is just a typical floor venting option as you can see from the picture above.
What I dislike is the fact that there are no roof vents, they are needed in long intervals with rain.
Who is it for
Regarding the area, the tent is officially for 8 people, and this means you can place 8 sleeping pads on the floor. The dimensions are such that this is surely possible. This can work for a group of friends on some summer festival or concert.
For real camping, it is best to downgrade this to four or so. The pictures below show more details. There is a small vestibule as you realize, but this is only for shoes and boots.

Regarding seasons & climate, the tent is a true three-season shelter and it will work well in a variety of situations. In rainy conditions you will be fully protected, and when the sky is clear you will benefit from the clever fly design and from large windows.

Regarding the weight, this tent is on a heavy side, but this is expected in view of its instant setup design and large fly.
The packed size is also such that it can be described as bulky, so bear this in mind and plane space in the car.
Regarding the price, it is more than fair, a true bargain, please check the link below for updates.

Final thoughts, rating, pros & cons
In summary, the Ozark Trail 14 x 8 8-Person Instant Cabin Tent with Full Rainfly is a very functional cabin-style shelter with a great balance of comfort and weather protection.
The instant setup system works exactly as expected, the full-coverage fly adds serious rain security, and the hinged door is a rare feature that makes daily use far easier than with standard zipper doors. With six large windows and a full mesh ceiling, it also offers excellent ventilation and a very pleasant interior feel in warm weather.
This is a tent best suited for car camping, family weekends, and casual group trips where fast setup and interior space matter more than weight and packed size. The official 8-person rating is realistic only for sleeping pads, so for normal camping comfort it is better to see it as a 4-person tent.
Considering the price, the overall value is impressive, and this is clearly one of the better budget instant cabin tents currently available. It is added to my list of Instant Tents with Hinged Doors.
Below you can see how this tent stands against my standard rating criteria that I apply consistently to all of them here in the site so that you can easily compare:
