Overview
As usual with the tents of this brand, it is difficult to put this Snow Peak Tuga Tent in any particular group. It may be closest to dome tents, but you can see in it some features of a tunnel tent as well.
So this is a tent with a full coverage fly and an inner tent that attaches to the shell in one part of the tent, you can see this in the picture below. I would say that its gigantic vestibule is its best feature.
On their site they write that the tent was designed in response to customers feedback requesting a more lightweight shelter with a comfortable amount of space for smaller groups. The mentioned vestibule is more a floorless room than a vestibule, and they describe the tent as a two-room shelter.
The inner tent is shown below, as you see it attaches so that there is a large gap between two layers for air circulation. Note that it is with its own bath-tub sealed floor.
Doors and windows
There are no less than four gigantic doors here, on all the sides of the tent, and all of them are double-layer type, with full size mesh and panels. Three of them are on the vestibule (see the picture below) and one is behind the inner tent. They are so wide that you could enter with a car inside.
Note that the inner tent has three doors itself. Two of them are on the rear side and one is under the vestibule. They are visible in one of the pictures above.
There are also two separate large windows, and both are double layer, with a fixed mesh and zippered panel.
Setup
This is a huge tent so you may think that setup is complicated. Well, it may be so if you are not familiar. But the frame reminds me a bit of my Snow Peak Alpha Breeze Tent. Namely, here too you have a ridge pole that connects to the A shaped poles on the two sides, the attachment system is the same, the ridge pole goes into and through the side poles.
But there are more poles in this tent, you will see them in a picture below, yet note that there are letters L and R attached to some of them so you will know which go left and which right. The poles are also color coded to help you.
Yet another reason for a relatively easy setup is the external frame. So when you put the mentioned ridge pole in place and connect it with the side pole and attach the latter to the base of the tent, you can then raise the tent from the ground. After that you add the remaining poles and secure the tent to the ground.
Note that the inner tent can remain attached to the shell when you pack the tent, so when you need the tent next time, you will have the inner ready in place as soon as you raise the shell tent from the ground.
In any case, you can use the Snow Peak Tuga Tent manual and you will know more. Please see a bit more in this video:
Materials
All the elements in the package are listed below, and you also have a picture with poles. Note that the package includes 25 duralumin pegs and various ropes with tensioners (6 ropes of 3.5 m, 6 ropes of 2 m, and 2 ropes of 1.5 m).
The poles: You have them 7 in total and this is all very thick duralumin. Here are their names:
The fabric: The roof of the shell is a moderately durable 75D polyester with a Shield pigment PU coating that gives it a waterproof rating of 3000 mm minimum. It is with a UV protection treatment and a Teflon water-repellent finish. This is the same as in their Snow Peak Zekka Tent.
The main body walls are a 75D polyester with a PU coating and 1800 mm waterproof rating, again with the same UV protection treatment and a Teflon water-repellent finish.
The inner tent is a 68D polyester taffeta, the same as in most of their tents, including my Alpha Breeze. Its floor is a 210D polyester oxford with a PU coating and 1800 mm minimum waterproof rating. So this is considerably lower than in the Snow Peak Zekka Tent and in my Alpha Breeze tent.
Ventilation
The tent has almost all ventilation options that you may need. You have already seen its huge doors on the shell tent and on the inner tent, all 7 of them are double-layer with mesh and panels so you can regulate air circulation as it suits you. The same function you have in the two windows.
They have added two large roof vents in the vestibule area, one is visible below, you can see it above the open door. They are with mesh inside.
But I must add that in some other tents of this brand you also have low vents that are missing here. You can see them in their Snow Peak Land Nest Dome Medium Tent and Snow Peak Zekka Tent,
Who is the Snow Peak Tuga Tent for
Regarding the area, the official capacity is 4 people. They do not provide the numbers, but my calculation of the inner tent area gives around 76.4 ft² (7.1 m²).
As you see from the floor plan below, the dimensions of the inner tent are indeed such that it can easily accommodate four sleeping pads on the floor.
Note that the vestibule is huge, here you have around 150.7 ft² (14 m²). In my view this is the best feature of this tent. In other words, you have in total more than 21 square meters of the covered area, and this is indeed a lot.
You can compare it to their Snow Peak Land Nest Dome Medium Tent which is also for four people and the inner room is practically the same, but the vestibule in the Land Nest is far smaller.
In my rating below you will see that the tent does not receive maximum for the area. This is simply because I rate floorless rooms and vestibules differently from the floored areas, you do not have full protection from insects in floorless spaces.
Observe also the enormous height of this Tuga tent, you have a stand-up height in a big part of it. Because of this, I have added it to my list of very tall tents.
Regarding seasons & climate, they do not declare the number of seasons for this tent. However, I am sure you can use it year round. It is fully closable, and the inner tent is deep inside and fully protected. The tent is tall, but its profile is quite smooth as you realize from the picture, so it will work well even in windy places.
In a dry environment you can open all its panels and regulate ventilation and privacy as you wish. The waterproof rating is more than enough. You will see a few accessories below that can make camping experience in this tent even more pleasant.
Regarding the weight, with its 40.3 lb (25.2 kg), this tent can be described as very heavy although indeed it is huge.
But its packed size is very good although the carry bag may look bulky; note that I rate the packed size and weight with respect to the tents overall size.
Regarding the price, all tents of this Japanese brand are pricy, so if you are on a budget better check something else. But this is a high quality product, and they make reliable stuff, I know this from my own personal experience with their tents.
With such a price, it is advisable to read about their warranty policy, to put your mind at ease.

Final thoughts, rating, pros & cons
In conclusion, the Snow Peak Tuga Tent stands out as a spacious and well-designed shelter, offering campers a blend of top-notch quality and innovative features.
Its standout feature is the expansive vestibule, resembling more of a floorless room, providing an unmatched covered area of over 21 square meters.
With four enormous double-layer doors, excellent ventilation options, and a robust build, the Tuga Tent caters to the needs of campers seeking comfort, protection, and versatility.
While the tent’s weight may pose a challenge for some, and the price point leans towards the higher end, the Snow Peak Tuga Tent compensates with its durability, reliability, and adaptability across various climates.
