The long official name of this CORE Equipment 6-Person Lighted Instant Cabin Tent with Full Rainfly reveals its most important features, but there is more to this, keep reading.

Key features & benefits
- Instant setup tent.
- Cabin type.
- Full cover fly.
- Vestibule.
- Lighted.
- Cable port.
- Floor vents.
Overview
This Core tent comes with a combination of really useful features, some of them are pointed out in the picture below, and they will be discussed further in the text.
I would start with the fact that this is a cabin type tent with steep and straight walls. So you have plenty of volume here, though the peak height is quite modest, only 72 inches (183 cm).

This is a true two-layer design, and this means you have an inner tent and a separate full coverage fly. The fly creates a vestibule, and it must be staked out to be fully useful, this is why the tent cannot be described as fully freestanding.

The vestibule includes a flap with two zippers, and this all is in front of the single door of the inner tent. Similar flaps are also on the sides, so you can roll them up and have views around. The inner tent is with windows that include inner zippered shutters for privacy and protection.
Because of these features, I have included it in my list of best cabin tents with a full fly.
Instant setup
This is also an instant-setup tent, and this means that the inner tent and the frame are pre-attached, so this is one piece only. The picture below shows how you can have it ready in one minute only, it is just extending its four telescopic legs. One person can easily do this.

But bear in mind that there is a fly that must be put over the tent, so this will take a few minutes more. Again doable by one person because the tent is not very tall, but it is better to have somebody to help.
All the details about the tent are given in the user manual which Core provides, so have a look. I have added this tent to my list of best 6 person instant tents.
Lighted tent
This is yet another of great features you have here. Core has a series of lighted tents and here you have a really user-friendly design with three different modes and a controller on the wall:

Below you can see how to connect everything:

You can power the light with batteries and with a power-bank of your choice, not included.

Other details
As mentioned above, the tent is feature-rich, and you can see this from the pictures below. There is a removable wall storage set, a cable port, and the inner tent is with floor vents.

There are two side windows in addition to two that integrated into the huge door, and all of them are with inner zippers.

Parts and materials
The two main parts are the inner tent itself with the frame, so this is one element, and then there is the fly. The picture below shows them together with the other parts that are integrated (like the leg poles and hub elements) or separate (like the wall organize, battery pouch, etc).
As you realize, these elements are numbered, and this implies you can order them as spare parts in case you break or lose something. This is the advantage of buying from a renown brand like Core Equipment.

The poles: This is all strong steel used for four legs and five roof poles. But there is an additional pole that is used under the vestibule to make more headspace, and this is a shock-corded fiberglass.
The fabric: They use a 68D polyester and this is a reasonably strong material standard for such tents. The waterproof rating of 1200 mm looks moderate but you will never need more.
The floor is a bathtub style polyethylene, likely totally waterproof but I did not see its official rating.

Ventilation
If the sky is clear, you can keep the windows flaps rolled up and have as much air cross-flow as you want. The same you can do with the vestibule. Floor vents increase vertical air circulation even more.
But when it rains, you will keep the flaps down and rely on vents only. One potential problem that I see here is that there are no roof vents, so condensation may be an issue. I wonder what they were thinking.

Who is it for
Regarding the area, the tent is officially for 6 people, measured by the number of narrow sleeping pads that may fit on the floor. This would mean 16.5 ft² (1.5 m²) per person, not a castle but doable.
There is also the front vestibule with its 17 ft² (1.6 m²) of covered area that can be used for boots and shoes. Realistically, it is best suited for couples or for parents with one or two small kids.

Regarding seasons & climate, they are very honest in describing this tent as suitable for 2-3 seasons and not for harsh conditions. This is all very true, but the tent is strong and with full fly so it can still take a lot of force.

Regarding the weight, the tent is heavy but it is built as a car camping tent so this is nothing unusual.
Being an instant tent, the packed tent is long, and this is always so with tents of this type, you will see the numbers below and my rating too.
Regarding the price, I would say it is a but steep, but if you like it and appreciate the reliable brand behind this tent, it is worth the investment. See the price updates in the links below.

Final thoughts, rating, pros & cons
In summary, this CORE Equipment 6-Person Lighted Instant Cabin Tent is a very functional and thoughtfully designed cabin-style shelter with a strong focus on convenience and livability.
The instant setup system, full-coverage rainfly, and integrated lighting make it stand out in its category, while the steep walls and vestibule add to its overall practicality. It is not the most compact or affordable option, but you are getting a reliable structure with a good balance of protection and comfort for car camping use.
Overall, this tent is best suited for users who value ease of setup and extra features over minimal weight and pack size.
It performs well in typical 2–3 season conditions and offers a pleasant camping experience for small families or couples who want more space. The lack of roof vents is a drawback, but not a dealbreaker considering everything else it offers.
Below you can see how this tent stands against my standard rating criteria that I apply consistently to all of them here in the site so that you can easily compare:

FAQ
Is this CORE 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent waterproof enough for heavy rain?
The tent uses a 1200 mm waterproof rating which is typical for cabin tents in this category. Combined with the full coverage rainfly and sealed seams, it can handle steady rain without issues.
Can one person set up the CORE instant cabin tent alone?
Yes, one person can set it up because the frame and inner tent are pre attached. The main structure can be ready in about a minute by extending the legs. The rainfly takes a bit more time and is easier with two people, but still manageable solo due to the moderate height.
How good is ventilation in this tent during warm weather?
Ventilation is decent thanks to multiple windows, a large door, and floor vents that help air circulation. In dry conditions you can open everything for strong airflow. The limitation is the lack of roof vents, so in humid or rainy weather you may notice some condensation inside.
Is this tent suitable for camping without electrical hookups?
Yes, the integrated lighting system can run on batteries or a power bank, so you do not need a campsite with electricity. This makes it practical for off grid camping while still offering the convenience of built in lighting.
