What this is about

So this is yet another of Coleman tents built for the EU market, as you might now they have a Coleman-EU branch. So they occasionally bring some of these EU tents to the USA market. This is easy to recognize because of the high waterproof rating and separate rooms design.

The tents built for the EU are also very expensive when they appear on Amazon-US. As of the moment of writing this text, its price in Europe is almost half the Amazon-US price.

Yet another detail I would mention is these words ‘Unisex Adult’ in the name. I have no idea what this may mean, and this is not the first time to see this. The tent is in EU under the name Coleman Weathermaster 4 Air Tent.

Note also that this tent has nothing in common with their very popular WeatherMaster series that is built for the US market.

So this is a tunnel-shaped tent supported by inflatable beams instead of classic poles, see the picture below. This is design they call FastPitch Air as indicated in the picture below. Here again to stress that this has nothing to do with their Fast Pitch design used in tents with classic poles which have a hubbed design.

The red structures in the picture are the air beams, so there are three of them and each is inflated separately. One person can easily set this tent up, they claim 10 minutes is needed for the job. There is only one solid poles that is used for the brim above the main door.

The tent is very tall, the peak height is shown in the picture below. It has an inner tent within the shell, and this is the sleeping area with a removable divider shown by the dashed line in the picture below. In front of the inner tent you have a large living room. So this is formally a 3-room tent.

Below you can see how the inner tent looks. So this is a what they call the BlackOut construction with very dark materials. They claim that this patent-pending technology keeps up to 99% of the daylight out of your sleeping area. This is very useful for parents with kids and for light-sensitive people. I have included it in my list of best dark rest tents.

The doors & windows

The tent has two large external doors visible in the pictures, and both of them are full-size 2-layer with mesh and with zippered panel.

You also have 3 separate windows, and those are double-layer solid translucent windows with inner zippered panels for privacy. The inner doors are with mesh in the upper parts.

Other features include:

• A large storage section on the wall between the inner doors, you can see it in the picture above. It includes 6 separate mesh pouches.
• There is an E-cable port.
• Barrier-free access on the front door. You will see this in the video.

Materials

The fabric is a 75D polyester with a huge waterproof rating of 6000 mm, so this is impressive even for the EU standards, and this is among the highest you will find from Coleman-EU tents.

The fully integrated sewn-in and sealed floor is a bathtub style polyethylene. Note that the inner tent has its own sewn-in extra floor, so you have two layers of floor in the sleeping area.

They also write that the entire tent is equipped with UVGuard technology and it offers protection of 50+ against the UV rays of the sun. The outer tent is also fire-retardant. The zipper stoppers on the tent doors provide additional security and zippers can also be easily reached by children in an emergency.

Ventilation

I already mentioned huge doors with full-size zippered mesh. So this will provide excellent air circulation as long as the sky is clear. But if you have to close them because of the rain, they have added large vents. You have one above the side window, and one very long is on the rear side behind the inner tent, see the pictures:

Who is this tent for

Regarding the area, the tent is officially for 4 people. For this you have the area of 113 ft² (10.5 m²), and this makes it 28.2 ft² (2.6 m²) per person. So this is plenty of space. Note that you have almost the same area in their Coleman Spruce Falls 4 Person Family Tent.

Note that the living room is fully protected with its sewn-in floor against water, and with mesh and panel doors. If necessary, this room can easily accommodate at least 2 people more. So this tent can indeed accommodate more people than what its official rating suggests.

Regarding seasons & climate, the tent is with a huge waterproof rating, and the floor is thick and fully waterproof. It is ventilated, so I see it suitable for any season. 

Note that they have added very strong front straps to stabilize it against winds, you can see them in the picture above. On the other hand, air beams can never break under wind pressure, so this tent can withstand a lot of pressure in windy places. But having such beams, it is not for snow conditions.

Regarding the weight, this is a heavy tent with its 42.3 lb (19.2 kg). The packed size is 30.7 x 20.9 x 15 inches (78 x 53 x 38 cm), so it is bulky as well. All in all, this is a tent for places with a car access.

Regarding the price, the tent is expensive, but this is a really well-built tent and you can see this in many nice details mentioned above. Just think about those zippered inner shatters, huge waterproof rating, double-layer doors, barrier-free access, etc.
