What this Core Equipment 12 x 10 Instant Screen House is about

This is the larger of the two screen houses of this brand built in the same style. The frame is preattached to the tent and the poles are telescopic, and this is behind the word Instant in the name. The official setup time is 1 minute only and this is quite real. One person can set it up easily.

There are two high zippered doors on the narrow sides, and the screen house is also very tall with its 84 inches (213 cm) peak height. The structure is fully freestanding with its 6 legs, so you can rotate it and move to shorter distances even after you raise it. But you have stakes and guylines included in the package, all the elements are shown in the picture below.

For a screen house, this item includes some really useful features. So you have storage system above the door with several pouches, and there is also a lantern hook, these features are shown in the pictures below. There is also a nice carry bag included, it is shown in the picture above.

The roof is the same material they use in their tents, and with the same H20 Block technology, with fully-taped seams that repel rain and water. But the roof is not so large so do not expect too much rain protection, after all this is not a tent.

Who is it for

Regarding the purpose & functionality, you have a structure with a waterproof roof but more importantly it offers shade with a 50+ UV protection.

This is a floorless design with mesh everywhere around so you have full protection from flying insects. The picture below shows how pleasant you can feel in such a screen shelter.

Note that you have the base dimensions 12 x 10 ft (366 x 305 cm), so any camping table will fit there easily together with up to 6 camping chairs. The access is easy because of its large doors, you can roll them to the side as well if there are no mosquitoes around.

Regarding the weight, this is a bit heavy screen house with its 27 lb (12.2 kg). This is normal to expect in view of the fact that the frame is very strong steel and this is an instant structure with plenty of poles. Note also that the roof fabric is a durable 68D polyester.

The packed size is very good, and this is surprising because instant structures are usually quite long when packed. The carry bag shown above measures 38 x 6 x 6 inches (97 x 15 x 15 cm), so although it is a bit long, it is very thin.
