What this is about
Here you have the larger of the two tents in the series, the other tent they describe as Large, hence the words Extra Large in the name of this tent presented here.
So this is a very typical cabin-style tent with steep and straight walls, it is freestanding, roomy, and pleasant. The peak height of this tent is 6.58 ft (200 cm) so this only adds to its livability. The picture below shows the tent without the fly so you can better understand its structure.
The tent has no less than 3 doors, and the picture above shows the largest front door which is double-layer with a full-size zippered mesh door plus a zippered panel. The panel can be rolled up and fixed above the door to keep it out of the way as shown above.
But you can also create a huge awning shown below. The steel poles for this purpose are included. This is why it is on my list of best camping tents with 3 doors.
The other two doors are symmetric, and they are on the sides, see the picture below. You can roll them to the sides. They have a window in the upper section, so here again you have panels for privacy and mesh for ventilation and views around.
Note that the fly is a partial-coverage type but it protects quite a lot of the tent. You have buckles that attach it to the frame.
The tent has 2 rooms, the picture below shows the inner view. Note that the divider between the rooms is sewn-in and this not just a curtain. There are two large inner doors between the rooms. Observe also the rear window in the back room.
The ceiling is all mesh, and you have windows with mesh around plus the full-size front mesh door. So this looks great, but there will be periods of rain when you have to keep this closed. In such circumstances, it is great to have floor vents, but they are missing here.
There are many poles here, 13 in total. So 10 of them are steel and three roof poles are fiberglass. They are connected with plastic 3-way and 2-way connectors shown in the pictures below. The tent attaches to the frame with clips and sleeves. You have color-coding in place to help you in setting this tent up.
The poles are shock-corded, and they are with the usual pin-and-ring elements for attachment to the tent’s base, see the pictures below.
You have a very durable 210D polyester with a 1500 mm waterproof rating used for the fly and walls. The floor is a bit thicker 180 g/m² polyester with a 2500 mm waterproof rating.
Who is this KTT Extra Large Tent 12 Person for
Capacity-wise, the tent is officially for 12 people. Well, the tent is roomy but not that much. The picture below shows the dimensions and what the manufacturer thinks of how to use the floor space.
The floor area is 141 ft² (13.1 m²) and this implies that you have 11.8 ft² (1.1 m²) per person. So it may be doable to put 12 pads on the floor as they suggest, and this may work for a group of friends at some summer festival.
But as usual, for real camping, it is best to downgrade the number of users by half or so. You might want to compare it with this Coleman Sunlodge 12-Person Camping Tent that is also for 12 people but larger.
Regarding seasons & climate, I see this tent best suited for summer camping and at places without much wind or rain. As mentioned above it is without floor vents so you would not want to keep it closed for long intervals.
Regarding the weight and packed size, clearly, this is a tent for places with a car access. Note that it weighs 35 lb (15.9 kg) so you would not want to carry it anywhere far from the car.
Regarding the price, this tent is a true bargain.

Final thoughts & rating
In the summary of this KTT Extra Large Tent 12 Person review I would stress again that the tent is pleasant and livable with its multiple doors and windows. The price is more than fair.
