Overview
This GEN 17.2 Glamping Inflatable Tent can be described as a cabin type freestanding tent with completely vertical walls and very high roof. As you realize from the picture below, the peak height is 98.4 inches (250 cm). This is why I have included it in my list of very tall tents.
The floor plan below gives its ground dimensions so you can plan the required space in the camp. The tent is a two-room structure but one of the rooms is without floor.
But note that one of the side walls is zippered, so it can be completely removed as shown in the picture below. With this you create a pleasant porch for sitting and cooking, and you do not have to be worried about the floor.
This feature adds to versatility and comfort of the tent. The back room is with a sealed floor, and this is the sleeping area, below you get some idea how pleasant it is.
Windows and doors
There are 7 windows on the external walls, and all of them are double-layer with a mesh and zippered panel.
When the front wall (with its two windows) is removed, you still have two windows under the porch. They are shown in the picture above, and you realize that even here you have both mesh and panels for privacy.
This means that the rear sleeping room always has 5 windows for views around. But this is not all, in the sleeping room they have added two additional skylight windows with a urethane panel and with a flap, see below one of them:
The tent is with one door on the front removable wall. But when this wall is removed, you still have the same shape door under the porch.
Integrated stove jack
This tent comes ready for a wood burning stove. Below you can see its integrated stove jack on the roof, and a stove in place. This is all in the front floorless room, so now you know why I mentioned that the front room is designed for sitting and cooking. Because of this, I have included it in my list of tents with a stove jack.
Air conditioning ports
There are no many tents on the market with such a feature. In the picture above you can see how the tent can be cooled in a warm climate.
The port is in the rear sleeping room, and when not in use you can close it with the flap on the outside and close with Velcro tabs. Here you also have an E-cable port underneath the port.
Materials
You have premium materials here, and all the elements in the package are shown in the picture:
You have included:
- 16 Elbow iron ground nails, all very strong and long.
- 6 Thick wind ropes.
- A manual pump is included.
- Projector screen with the dimensions 145 x 130 cm.
- A storage bag.
Support: This tent is without any solid poles, you have inflatable beams instead. With the pump included, one person can set this tent with ease, but note that the beams are thick and there are many of them, so this requires some work.
The valve is on the side, you will see it in the picture below, and the valves are connected to the tent through Velcro tabs, so they can be detached easily in case of repair. Because of this design, I have included it in my list of best inflatable tents.
The fabric: The fabric denier value is simply incredible, it is hard to find a match on the market, according to their specifications, this is a high-quality 600D polyester. Its waterproof rating is quite good, 1500-2000 mm. The floor is a wear-resistant PVC, fully waterproof and reliable.
Other details
- The picture below shows how you can use the included projector screen in the living room area:
- There is a couple of wall pockets for small items, the picture below, pity they did not add more with such huge vertical walls.
- A lantern ring is available, see it above.
- I already mentioned a cable port, it is. in the back room.
- Below you can see the valve and one of the roof vents.
Ventilation
With 7 mesh windows in any of the two configurations, you can create as much air flow as you want. In the case of rain the windows on the external walls much be closed, but you still have those two under the porch, together with the door in between them.
To allow vapor to escape, they have added two large roof vents on the two sides of the tent. The picture above shows one of them on the external wall, and the same is on the opposite side of the tent. But there is also yet another vent on the inner porch wall, see it in the picture below.
So there is not much you could object to this design. There are no floor vents, but all the windows are very low and they will double as floor vents as well. Those under the porch can be kept with mesh.
Who is the Naturehike GEN 17.2 Inflatable Tent for
Regarding the area, they describe it as a tent for 4-5 people. This is indeed so, there is plenty of space here for 5 users. You can realize this if you check the dimensions of the back room where you have 8.6 square meters.
The total covered area is 17.28 square meters, and this explains the number 17.2 in the official name of the tent.
The front room offers the same area as the sleeping room, so here you can keep all you camping furniture. As you realize, I have plenty of reasons to include it in my list of best 5-person tents.
Regarding seasons & climate, the tent has everything you need for a four-season use. In a warm environment you have plenty of venting options, plus the option for air-conditioning.
In a cold climate, it is fully closable, and you can heat the tent with a wood stove. The waterproof rating is very good, so you will be protected and remain dry in the rain.
The tent is tall and boxy, so perhaps not optimal for windy places, but its air beams will never break. They can bend under pressure but the shape is restored instantly when the wind pressure drops. Note also that the fabric is very tough, and the stakes and ropes are all very strong.
But such tents are not for places where you can expect snow accumulating on the roof, it would collapse under lots of vertical pressure.
These are all reasons behind the word Glamping in the name of the tent, and I have included it in my list of best cold weather tents but it is definitely far more than that, a true tent for year round use in any climate and season.
Regarding the weight, this is a heavy thing, it weighs 88.8 lb (40.3 kg), so you would not want to carry it far from the car.
The packed size is also not its best feature, you will see the numbers below, but the carry bag is designed with handles so that two people can carry it short distances.
Regarding the price, the tent is very expensive, but this is not surprising in view of its incredible features.

Final thoughts, rating, pros & cons
In summary, the Naturehike GEN 17.2 Glamping Inflatable Tent stands out as a premium option for year-round camping in various climates.
Its inflatable beam design ensures durability and ease of setup, while the robust 600D polyester fabric and waterproof PVC floor provide reliable protection.
The integrated stove jack, air conditioning ports, and numerous windows offer unparalleled versatility for comfort in both cold and warm environments. With a tall, freestanding structure and removable front wall, it balances practicality and luxury, earning its place among the best tents for glamping and cold weather camping.
However, the Naturehike GEN 17.2 Glamping Inflatable Tent comes with trade-offs. Its substantial weight and large packed size make it less suitable for remote or lightweight camping, and its high price reflects its extensive features and top-quality materials.
Despite these limitations, the tent delivers on its promise of providing a luxurious, comfortable, and robust shelter for up to five people. Its thoughtful design and adaptability make it a compelling choice for those seeking a premium glamping experience.
Below you can see how this tent stands against my standard rating criteria that I apply consistently to all of them here in the site so that you can easily compare. Note that I rate it as a 5-person tent:
