What this is about
This Snow Peak Mesh Shelters TP-925 is a screenhouse, but it is a bit more than that. It should not be mixed with their another shelter that is under the name Snow Peak Mesh Shelter TP-920.
So this screenhouse can be used on its own as shown in the top picture above. But this is a connectable design, so you can use it with their Snow Peak Amenity Dome L Tent. For this it is necessary to add an extra tunnel connection between the two parts.
You can use it also with their Snow Peak Amenity Dome M Tent and this is without anything extra, see the picture below. This they sell as a set under the name Snow Peak Entry Pack TS. The Mesh Shelter TP-925 is on the left.
This is a freestanding structure that is more or less dome-type but with pre-bent poles. The shelter is very tall and you have a peak height of 7.2 ft (219 cm). The floor plan is shown in the picture below.
There are 4 doors here, one on each of its sides. They are double-layer type with full size mesh and with panels. You also have two roof windows that are double layer with mesh and zippered panels, one is visible below. So this is a fully closable screenhouse. In this sense it is similar to their Snow Peak Living Shell Long Pro that is also presented here in the site.
Materials
The poles: There are two main long poles that create the usual X-crossed structure with 4 legs. Two shorter roof poles cross this structure and they attach to the tent with roof grommets. This makes the structure freestanding. The material is a high quality 6061 aluminum with 16 mm and 14.5 mm diameter. The poles are all color coded. They attach to the tent’s base through their unique pin and ring system.
You have a full set of 20 Duralumin pegs, and 4 guylines 11.4 feet long and 8 guylines 8.2 ft long, to secure the shelter against sudden winds. The poles attachment to the tent is with their standard pin and ring system.
The fabric: The shelter fabric is a 75D polyester with a PU coating and 1800 mm rating, plus a Teflon water repellent finish. The mud skirt around the Shelter is a durable 210D polyester Oxford with a PU coating and 1800 mm waterproof rating. The huge doors are with full sized mesh and with zippered panels as the second layer.
There is also a Roof Sheet which you can use but it is not compulsory. It is added to provide shed and to protect the tent from UV radiation. In general, it is cooler in the shelter when the sheet is on.
Ventilation
This shelter has huge double-layer openings so ventilation is never an issue here. Even if you have to close this all in the case of rain, you still have two roof vents. They are in the corners under the roof, positioned diagonally, one is visible in the picture below.

Who is this shelter for
Regarding the area, it is not completely clear how much space you have because they do not give the numbers. The base is not rectangular. My estimate is around 150 ft² (14 m²) but I may be wrong. This is more than enough for 4-5 people as you realize from the picture below.
Regarding seasons & climate, the shelter is fully closable so you can use it in any environment. This can be as a separate annex to your family camping tent or connected to some of the mentioned Snow Peak tents. It is high but you can close it and you can also fix it to the ground so it should work good even in windy places.
Regarding the weight, it cannot be described as light in view of its 27.5 lb (12.5 kg). But you have seen that most of the structure is two-layer type, and the poles are strong and thick. The packed size is 30 x 12.2 x 10.5 inches (77 x 31 x 27 cm) so it is quite bulky. This is for the same reasons, there is lots of material here.
Regarding the price, this screen house is very expensive and if you are on a budget better check for some other options. But it is of exceptional quality and functionality. You also have a lifetime warranty and this has a value.
