Dome tent, really?
On Amazon, the tent is with the name Bushnell Sport Series 8 Person Dome Tent. I would say this is everything but a dome tent, in fact, this is a very typical cabin tent with straights and steep walls. On the manufacturer’s site, they describe it properly as a cabin tent. The picture below shows how it looks without the fly so it is obvious what this is.
The structure is freestanding, but do not ever miss staking it to the ground properly, you have 14 steel stakes included in the package. The tent is with a minimal fly that covers only the ceiling. But this is why you have great views around through its large windows. All of them are with mesh and with zippered panels for privacy and for protection from the rain.
This is a 2-room construction with a removable divider shown below, so you can use it as it suits you. The tent is quite tall with its peak height of 76 inches (193 cm).
Ventilation
This tent has plenty of mesh around and the whole ceiling is mesh. So this should work great for summer camping. For rainy situations when you have to keep panels closed, they have added one floor vent. You can see it in the pictures above and below. You can stake it out for maximum air circulation.

Who is it for
Regarding the capacity, officially this is an 8-person tent. So it is indeed possible to place 8 sleeping pads on the floor but you would not have any space left. So in the case of families on summer vacations, this is best to be used by parents with a maximum of 2-3 small kids.
Regarding the climate & seasons, this is a summer camping tent, perfect for warm weather conditions. You would not want to use it in a cool environment. If this is what you need, check some of our tents for cold weather camping.
The tent is tall and boxy, and the fly is positioned high, so it best to avoid harsh weather situations with lots of wind and rain.
Regarding the weight and packed size, the tent is moderately heavy and bulky when packed. You will see the numbers in the specifications below. You might be able to transport it on a motorbike, but in any case this is a tent for places with a motorized access.

The poles
You have 6 steel leg poles and 3 fiberglass roof poles, so these are partly behind the weight of the tent. The attachment to the tent is standard, with a pin-and-ring connection at the base, and clips and sleeves higher.
Fabric
There is not much info from the manufacturer. You will only see a statement that this is a weather-resistant fabric (polyester) with factory-sealed seams. So this is quite disappointing indeed. Though I know that this whole series is with a fabric that meets CPAI-84 specifications.

In summary, this Bushnell Sport Series 8 Person Tent looks great, it is pleasant, ventilated, and reasonably easy to use. The price is more or less in the range of many of its competitors of this type. If you plan to use it for quiet weather conditions and for summer camping, I can fully recommend it.
