Coleman builds tents in all sizes and shapes, and some of these 4 room tents presented here are among the largest they have ever built. All are exceptionally functional and pleasant.
All the tents in the list are originally launched on the EU market because Coleman has its EU branch. So the style is typical for what they build for this market. This means they are tunnel-shaped, with multiple rooms, a high waterproof rating, very large and pleasant.
Only occasionally such tents appear on the US market, and this is mainly on the Amazon-US.
My list of the best Coleman 4 room camping tents
Here is the list with the tents ordered by the floor area from smaller to larger:
1. Coleman Tent Cook 6 Person
This tent comes with two inner tents that are under the shell tent. The shell tent is fully floored and sealed. The inner tents are also with their own floors, and you can use both of them, one, or none. This means that you can have 1, 2, 3, or 4 rooms as it suits you. The maximum is 4 and this means 3 bedrooms and one living room.
The total inner floored area is impressive 184 ft² (17.1 m²). The peak height is 78.74 inches (200 cm) and the tent weighs 39.24 lb (17.8 kg). From the picture you realize this is a very typical tunnel tent. The poles are fiberglass.
There are 3 doors here and you also have PVC windows. The waterproof rating is huge 3000 mm and the tent is suitable for 3 seasons plus camping. I have included it also to my list of tents for cold weather camping.
2. Coleman Aspen 6L Tent
This Coleman Aspen 6L Tent again a very typical tunnel-shaped shelter, but here you have a large porch on the front. This makes it very different from the tent above. The total floored area is again impressive, you have 207 ft² (19.26 m²); the mentioned porch adds 57 ft² (5.3 m²) of a partially protected space that can be used for sitting in the shade and for cooking.
But it is here because of its 4 rooms. These include three bedrooms that are in an inner tent and each with its own door, plus a large living room. It is officially for 6 people, but it can easily accommodate twice more, this because the living room is fully sealed and protected.
There are 7 large solid windows, and 2 external doors. The shell fabric is a PU coated 68D polyester with a 4000 mm waterproof rating. You will never need more. All seams are factory taped. It is supported with 5 fiberglass pools. The tent is also nicely ventilated with several vents on various sides.
The weight is 55.56 lb (25.2 kg). The peak height is 82.68 inches (210 cm) and with so many windows it is very pleasant and livable.
3. Coleman Oak Canyon 6 Tunnel Tent
This Coleman Oak Canyon 6 Tunnel Tent is far bigger than what you might think when you see the picture. Its total floored area is 239 ft² (22.25 m²), and this is all for 6 users only. This is why I have added it also to my list of extra large family camping tents.
Inside you have two separate inner tent with 3 dark rest bedrooms, and a huge living room in front of it. You can organize the area as you wish because you can remove one of the inner tents. The living room is fully sealed so the tent can easily accommodate 12 people if necessary.
The mentioned dark rest bedrooms block 99% of the daylight. This allows for climate and temperature control. Coleman is without a match when this is about this design. The tent is included in my list of best dark rest tents.
The fabric is a high-performance polyester with an impressive 4500 mm hydrostatic head. Ventilation is the best you can have in tents of this type. You have solid windows and two external doors. This tent is built so that it can be used in all seasons.
The poles are a combination of steel and fiberglass, and some of those on the sides are completely straight. This gives more volume than what you have in a standard tunnel type tent. The weight is 60 lb (27.2 kg).
4. Coleman Valdes Deluxe 6 XL Air BlackOut Bedroom Family Tent
This tent is a very large 4-room structure that includes three bedrooms in the inner tent, a huge living room that is roughly the size of all three bedrooms together, and a porch. The floored area is 244.3 ft² (22.7 m²), and note that the living room is fully sealed. So this tent can accommodate up to 12 people.
The mentioned porch adds 75.3 ft² (7 m²), and this is a like yet another floorless room, it is fully protected from the rain. Because of these numbers, it is also in my list of extra large family camping tents.
Note also that the bedrooms are from a very dark material so this is an excellent dark-rest tent as well.
The tent is supported with 5 inflatable beams. So in spite of such a size, one person can easily set it up. I have included it also in my list of best inflatable tents for camping.
You also have solid windows, and the tent is with numerous vents, so it is nicely ventilated. The weight is 84.7 lb (38.4 kg) and the peak height is 84.6 inches (215 cm).
Final thoughts
So this was my selection of the best Coleman 4 room tents, it will be updated whenever I find a tent from this brand that is worth adding here. This is why you might want to bookmark this post and visit it occasionally.
As expected from tents that have four rooms, these are very large camping shelters. There are functional differences here, this in particular regarding presence or absence of a porch. But even the tents with a porch are quite different, so bear this in mind if you want to have a porch and plan to use it for cooking or sitting.
Note also that you have very different support features. This includes several different materials and designs, fiberglass loops, straight steel leg poles, and also air beams.
